Character.AI Launches Interactive Customer Social Feed

Artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot system Character.AI has introduced a social feed for mobile that allows individuals not only scroll through articles yet also “communicate, remix and improve” what others have actually created.

Rolling out on Monday (Aug. 4 on the Character.AI mobile application, the brand-new Feed features user-generated personalities, scenes, streams, short-form video clips and other content with which users can engage. The function was initial teased in June.

Karandeep Anand , CEO of Character.AI, claimed individuals “can come to Feed for a lean-back experience and watch material from our outstanding designers– however you can also take the story ahead or develop a new impressive experience.”

Customers can rewrite stories, place themselves right into stories or move characters from one context right into another, such as from scenes to streams.

To support material production, Character.AI is presenting a collection of multimodal tools:

  • Chat Snippets, which let users share components of a discussion to display a character’s personality.
  • Character Cards, which sneak peek characters and invite others to chat with them.
  • Streams, where personalities question subjects, engage in verbal battles or produce video clip blog sites.
  • Avatar FX, which produces videos of characters or anything else. Start by inputting an image and a brief script.
  • Photo, which develops histories based upon chat material.

These functions are intended to give makers new ways to display their AI personalities and to even more incorporate storytelling with interactive media.

The business states the Feed “kicks down the wall in between intake and creation” and pushes Character.AI into “AI-powered amusement.”

Other business installing generative AI right into social feeds– yet not necessarily allowing remixing of posts– consist of Meta and OpenAI

Meta is building AI‑generated personalities with biographies and account pictures that can produce and share material on social media, said Connor Hayes , the company’s vice president of item for generative AI.

At the same time, OpenAI is reportedly establishing a prototype social media network centered on ChatGPT ‘s image‑generation abilities, according to an April report from The Verge.
